11 terrorists arrested, another killed in southeast Iran
TEHRAN – The local intelligence department at the southeastern border province of Sistan-Balouchestan issued a statement on Wednesday saying that 11 members of the terrorist-takfiri group of the Ansar al-Sheitan (Soldiers of Satan) have been detained and another member killed.
They were arrested and killed in three joint operations conducted by Quds Force, intelligence officers, and police forces, the department said.
The person killed was named Gol Mohammad Shahouzahi, a ringleader of the terrorist group.
“These terrorists, who had hidden themselves in peripheral regions of Zahedan (the provincial capital), intended to carry out terrorist operations in the province,” the local intelligence department said.
The department announced the recovery of an RPG and 24 projectiles, two Kalashnikov-style rifles, six additional firearms, and components for improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
